Roots Endodontics, PLC, Brighton, Livingston County, Michigan – Dr. Mayank Vora, DDS

DR. MAYANK D. VORA has practiced endodontics as a specialist since 2003 with over ten years of practice right here in Livingston County. He received his Master of Science degree in chemical engineering at Wayne State University in 1991. The dental treatment that Dr. Vora underwent during his seven years as an engineer kindled his interest in dentistry as a career. He received his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Michigan in 2001 and his specialty training in endodontics at the University of Illinois in 2003.

Dr. Vora has served as both clinical and pre-clinical instructor for endodontics at the University of Illinois. He is an active member of the American Dental Association, Michigan Dental Association, American Association of Endodontists and the Livingston District Dental Society. Dr. Vora has presented research at the Annual Session of the American Association of Endodontists in Anaheim, California in 2004 and was an invited professor to the Universidad de San Carlos de Guatemala in Guatemala City in 2010 where he lectured to postdoctoral graduate endodontic students. He has also been a past president of the Western branch of the Detroit District Dental Society and has served in the Michigan Dental Association House of Delegates.

In his spare time Dr. Vora enjoys hiking, model-making, sketching and photography. This summer he climbed Cirque Peak (9,820 ft) in the Canadian Rockies and he has also hiked the Annapurna Circuit Trek in Nepal, a grueling 3-week hike that tops out at almost 18,000 ft. He is an avid gardener and enjoys creating bonsai. Two of his miniature trees took first and second place in the Intermediate level at the Four Seasons Bonsai Club’s Annual Show in Rochester Hills this August.
